Medical fitness certificate
For employee or student fitness and good health confirmation. Choose Medical Fitness Certificate on the form.
People in Cambodia can request an online fitness certificate through DrCertificate without leaving home or work. An independent certified doctor reviews every request after a digital chat consultation.
Issue is never automatic.
The doctor decides whether a certificate is appropriate, based on the information you share and any answers you give in the chat. Start with the online form, pay through Stripe, and an approved certificate arrives by email as a PDF.
Yes. Anyone in Cambodia aged 16 or over can request a medical fitness certificate online through DrCertificate. You fill in the online form, pay through Stripe, and an independent certified doctor reviews the request by chat. If approved, the certificate arrives by email as a PDF. The service suits non emergency situations only.
Workers, students and travellers in Cambodia are the groups who most often need a fitness certificate. Employers ask new hires to confirm they are fit for the role, schools and universities ask students before sport or enrolment, and travellers need proof of good health before a flight.
Foreign workers face formal rules.
Article 261 of Cambodia's Labour Law says foreign workers must be fit for their job and have no contagious diseases. The conditions are set by a Prakas from the Ministry of Health, approved by the Ministry in charge of Labour. Under Inter Ministerial Prakas 1191 of 2006, as summarised by the Council for the Development of Cambodia, the health examination fee is US$15 for each foreigner, paid by the employer. An online note does not replace an examination that a Prakas requires.
Season and travel shape demand too. The rainy season, roughly May to October, brings more mosquito borne illness, and someone who was ill may need a fitness note before returning to sport or a shift. A visitor flying out of Phnom Penh or Siem Reap may need an unfit to travel note to change a booking.
An online request suits these moments when a clinic visit is hard to fit in. Whether a school, employer or airline accepts it is their decision, so ask first.
Match your need to the right option on the form
Most fitness needs in Cambodia use the Medical Fitness Certificate option on the DrCertificate form. The form lists four options: Sick Leave, Unfit to Travel, Work From Home and Medical Fitness Certificate.
For employee or student fitness and good health confirmation. Choose Medical Fitness Certificate on the form.
For starting a new job or returning to one after illness. Choose Medical Fitness Certificate.
For clubs, gyms, school sport or events that want proof you are fit to take part. Choose Medical Fitness Certificate.
For confirming you are well enough to travel by air. Choose Medical Fitness Certificate.
For changing or cancelling a flight when illness stops you travelling. Choose Unfit to Travel.
For time off work or university, or a general health note. Choose Sick Leave.
For working from home while unwell but still able to work. Choose Work From Home.
Four steps, all online
You get a fitness certificate online in Cambodia by completing the DrCertificate form, paying through Stripe and waiting for a doctor's decision by email. Every part of the request happens online.
There are no video or in person consultations.

Enter your details and pick the option you need, for example Medical Fitness Certificate for work, sport or flight fitness.
Pay the fee for Cambodia through Stripe at the end of the form.
An independent certified doctor reads your request and may ask follow-up questions in a digital chat.
If the doctor approves, the certificate arrives by email as a PDF. If the doctor declines, no certificate is issued.

Have your personal details, a working email address and the dates you need ready before you start. Good preparation avoids follow-up questions and delays.
Ask the employer, school or airline in advance whether they want set wording.
Your full name and ID details that match each other, plus an email address you check often.
Why you need the certificate and the start and end dates it should cover.
Any form, format or wording the employer, school, airline or sports body asked for.
Current symptoms, existing conditions and any records that help the doctor understand your situation.
The doctor reviews the reason for your request, the health details you share and whether your personal information is consistent. That review decides whether a certificate is issued, and paying the fee does not guarantee one.
If something is unclear, the doctor may ask follow-up questions in the chat. Accurate, quick answers keep the decision moving.
DrCertificate is a platform that connects people with independent doctors. DrCertificate does not diagnose, treat or prescribe. The doctor issues a fitness certificate only when the information supports it and the doctor finds it appropriate. When a doctor feels your situation needs a physical check, a clinic in Cambodia is the better place to go. A request alone is never enough reason to issue a certificate.
Online does not mean automatic.
If the doctor cannot issue your certificate, the fee is not refunded. Doctors decline about 2% of requests, usually because the name and ID do not match or the symptoms and details shared are inconsistent.
A declined request is a medical decision, not a technical one.
For a fitness need that requires an examination, visit a local clinic or hospital in Cambodia in person. For help with the platform itself, email care@drcertificate.com. The only refund exception is a verified technical fault reported within 24 hours.
The fee for an online fitness certificate in Cambodia is shown on the form before you pay. Pricing depends on the country, and the table lists the confirmed fees elsewhere for reference.
The fee covers the doctor's review of your request and, if approved, the certificate as a PDF by email. Payment runs through Stripe.
The fee is non refundable, including when a doctor declines.

A fitness certificate request from Cambodia takes about 30 minutes from submission to decision when the details are complete. Missing information, mismatched ID details or follow up questions in the chat add time.
Doctor hours for fitness cases are set in India Standard Time, which runs 1.5 hours behind Cambodia.
Monday to Saturday, reviews run 9 am to 9 pm IST, which is 10:30 am to 10:30 pm in Cambodia. On Sunday the hours are 10 am to 8 pm IST, or 11:30 am to 9:30 pm Cambodia time. A request sent outside those hours waits for the next opening.
Acceptance is decided by the organisation receiving the certificate, not by DrCertificate or the doctor. Check with your employer, school, airline or sports body before you apply, and ask whether they take online medical notes.
Cambodia has formal rules for work related health checks. Article 247 of the Labour Law says the Ministry in charge of Labour issues a Prakas setting the conditions for pre employment, re employment, periodical and special physical exams. Where an employer must follow that kind of exam, an online note will not stand in for it.
For sick leave, your employer's own policy sets the evidence it wants.
Airlines differ. A fit to fly or unfit to fly note that one carrier accepts may not suit another, so read the airline's medical rules first. Fitness notes are generally valid for 30 days, though the receiver can ask for a more recent one.
An online certificate is not right for emergencies, legal matters, insurance or anyone under 16. In Cambodia, call 119 for an ambulance if you have chest pain, trouble breathing, heavy bleeding or sudden weakness.
The certificate is not for legal purposes, must not be used for insurance claims and is not for submission in India.
Choose an in person visit at a local clinic or hospital when symptoms are severe or getting worse, when you need tests or an examination, or when an employer requires an official physical exam under a Prakas. DrCertificate serves suitable non emergency situations only.
DrCertificate is an online platform operated by Health Venture OU that connects people in Cambodia and nine other South East Asian countries with independent doctors. A doctor decides every request.
The reasons below come from how the service works day to day.
All doctors on the platform are registered with a medical council and hold MBBS, MD or MS qualifications.
Doctors decline about 2% of requests when the name and ID do not match or the symptoms and details shared are inconsistent.
Sports fitness, fit to fly and fit to work certificates use the Medical Fitness Certificate option. A general medical certificate uses the Sick Leave option.
Complete requests sent during doctor hours get a decision in about 30 minutes.
DrCertificate encourages you to check that the place of submission accepts online medical notes before you choose the service.
No. DrCertificate does not offer video or in person consultations. An independent doctor reviews your form and talks with you through a digital chat if more detail is needed. If the doctor feels a physical examination is required, the right step is a visit to a local clinic in Cambodia.
Only if the doctor finds it appropriate. You can enter the dates you need on the form, and the doctor decides what the certificate covers based on your details and the chat. A request for past dates that your information does not support can be declined, and the fee is not refunded.
Your form details go to the doctor reviewing your request so the doctor can assess it, and your payment runs through Stripe, which processes your card details. An approved certificate is sent to the email address you give. For questions about how your information is handled, email care@drcertificate.com.
You can request one through the Unfit to Travel option on the form if illness stops you flying. Each airline sets its own rules on medical notes, so check with the airline before you apply. DrCertificate cannot promise that any airline or travel agent will accept the note.
Fitness notes are generally valid for 30 days in most South East Asian countries. Sick leave and work from home notes go up to 7 days for generic symptoms. The organisation receiving your certificate in Cambodia decides how recent it must be, so confirm with them before applying.
Email care@drcertificate.com with your full name and the email address you used on the form. Support can help with technical faults, and a verified technical fault reported within 24 hours is the one case where a refund can apply. A certificate cannot be corrected once issued unless the medical team made the error.
Start the online form to request your fitness certificate in Cambodia. An independent doctor decides whether to issue it, and the fee is non refundable, so check that your employer, school or airline accepts online notes first. Questions go to care@drcertificate.com.
