Unfit to fly certificate
For when you are too unwell to fly on a set date and want a doctor's note for your airline. Choose Medical Certificate, Unfit to Travel.
An unfit to fly certificate in Myanmar can be requested online through DrCertificate by anyone aged 16 or over. You fill in a short form and pay, then an independent certified doctor reviews your request through a digital chat consultation.
The doctor decides whether a certificate is appropriate. Nothing is issued automatically.
Approved certificates arrive as a PDF by email, often in about 30 minutes. Pick the Unfit to Travel option on the form to start.
Yes. Anyone in Myanmar aged 16 or over can request an unfit to fly certificate online through DrCertificate. You complete the online form, pay through Stripe, and an independent certified doctor reviews your details by digital chat. If approved, the certificate arrives as a PDF by email. The service suits non emergency situations only.
Travellers who fall ill shortly before a flight are the main group needing an unfit to fly certificate in Myanmar. That includes workers heading abroad for jobs, students returning to universities overseas and visitors leaving after a holiday.
Illness rarely waits for a convenient date.
The monsoon months, roughly May to October, bring heavy rain, and fevers and stomach upsets are common complaints during that period. The hot season before the rains brings its own trouble, with heat exhaustion and dehydration. A person booked out of Yangon International Airport or Mandalay International Airport may wake up too unwell to sit through a flight or even queue at check-in.
Rebooking a ticket usually means explaining the illness to the airline. A doctor's note stating the dates you were unfit to fly gives that request a written record to rest on.
An online request lets you ask for that note from your hotel room or home. Whether your airline or travel company accepts the note is their decision, so check with them before you apply.
Match the certificate to what your airline, employer or school asked for
Pick the certificate that matches what you were asked to provide. Travellers who are too sick to fly need the unfit to fly certificate, listed on the form as Unfit to Travel.
The DrCertificate form has four options: Sick Leave, Unfit to Travel, Work From Home and Medical Fitness Certificate.
For when you are too unwell to fly on a set date and want a doctor's note for your airline. Choose Medical Certificate, Unfit to Travel.
For when an airline wants confirmation that you are fit for air travel, including pregnancy notes. Choose the Medical Fitness Certificate option.
For time off work or university, or a general medical note. Choose Medical Certificate, Sick Leave.
For when you can still work but should stay home while unwell. Choose Medical Certificate, Work From Home.
For clubs, events or employers asking you to confirm fitness. Choose the Medical Fitness Certificate option.
Getting an unfit to fly certificate online in Myanmar takes four steps, all done on your phone or computer. DrCertificate offers no video or in person consultations, so the whole review happens through the form and a digital chat.

Choose Medical Certificate, Unfit to Travel. Enter your name as shown on your ID, your flight date, your symptoms and your email address.
Card payment is handled by Stripe at the end of the form. The fee is non refundable once paid.
An independent certified doctor reads your request. If it is unclear, the doctor may ask follow-up questions in the chat, so watch for messages.
If the doctor approves, the certificate is sent to your email as a PDF. If the doctor declines, no certificate is issued.

Have your ID details, a working email address and your flight dates ready before you start. Getting these right avoids the most common cause of delays.
Your full name as shown on your ID, plus an email address you can open straight away.
Your flight date and the dates you were, or expect to be, too unwell to fly.
Any form or wording your airline, employer or school asked for, including a Myanmar National Airlines medical form if you were given one.
When your symptoms began, how they affect you, and any existing medical records you already hold.
The doctor checks whether your details support an unfit to fly certificate and issues one only if it is medically appropriate. Paying for the review does not guarantee a certificate.
The doctor reads your symptoms, when they started, your flight date and the dates you want covered. The name on the form is checked against your ID details. Consistency matters too, because symptoms that do not fit the dates are a common reason for a decline. If it is unclear, the doctor may ask follow-up questions in the chat. Quick, accurate replies keep the review moving.
DrCertificate is a platform, not a clinic.
The platform does not diagnose, treat or prescribe. Its role is to connect you with an independent doctor who makes the decision.
A doctor declines a request when the details do not support a certificate, and the fee is not refunded. About 2% of requests are declined, usually because the name and ID do not match or the symptoms and details shared are inconsistent.
Payments are non refundable, including for declined requests. The one exception is a verified technical fault reported within 24 hours.
If your request is declined, visit a clinic or hospital in Myanmar for an in person assessment. For questions, email care@drcertificate.com.
The DrCertificate fee for Myanmar is shown on the online form before you pay, because prices are set by country. Published prices elsewhere give a guide: 25 SGD in Singapore, 399 pesos in the Philippines and 30 MYR in Malaysia.
The fee covers the doctor's review and, if approved, the PDF certificate by email. Payment goes through Stripe.
The fee is non refundable, even if the doctor declines.

Most requests get a decision in about 30 minutes. Missing details, a name that does not match your ID, or follow-up questions in the chat can add time.
Doctor hours for fitness requests run 9 am to 9 pm IST Monday to Saturday and 10 am to 8 pm IST on Sunday. Myanmar is one hour ahead of IST, which makes those hours 10 am to 10 pm and 11 am to 9 pm Myanmar time.
Apply early. If your airline wants paperwork 72 hours before departure, a last minute request leaves no margin.
Acceptance of an unfit to fly certificate is decided by the organisation receiving it, so ask your airline, employer or school before you apply. DrCertificate cannot promise that any airline or office in Myanmar will accept an online certificate.
Airline rules differ.
Myanmar National Airlines is a useful example. The airline says passengers whose medical condition requires it must complete a form, which it uses to clear them for travel. Passengers needing special assistance are asked to contact its Customer Service Centre when they book and no later than 72 hours before departure.
From the 28th week of pregnancy, the airline requires a medical certificate from the private physician stating the expected date of confinement and that there are no contraindications for air travel. That pregnancy note is a fit to fly document, so ask the airline whether an online doctor's certificate satisfies its wording.
For sick leave at work or college, check your employer's policy and current Ministry of Labour guidance.
An online unfit to fly certificate is not right for emergencies, legal matters, insurance claims or anyone under 16. In a medical emergency in Myanmar, call 192 for an ambulance or go straight to the nearest hospital.
DrCertificate certificates are not for submission in India.
Book an in person visit at a local clinic or hospital if you have chest pain, trouble breathing, an injury that needs examining or bleeding during pregnancy. A clinic visit is the better choice when your airline asks for a physical examination.
DrCertificate is an online platform that connects people in Myanmar and nine other South East Asian countries with independent doctors. The reasons here are plain facts about how the service works.
Every doctor on the platform is registered with a medical council and holds an MBBS, MD or MS.
Fit to fly, sports fitness and fit to work certificates use the Medical Fitness Certificate option. A general medical certificate uses the Sick Leave option.
Doctors decline about 2% of requests when the name and ID do not match or the symptoms and details shared are inconsistent.
In most South East Asian countries, sick leave and work from home notes go up to 7 days for generic symptoms, and fitness notes are generally valid for 30 days.
No. DrCertificate does not offer video or in person consultations. An independent certified doctor reviews your online form and may ask follow up questions through a digital chat. If your condition needs a physical examination, the doctor can decline, and a visit to a clinic or hospital in Myanmar is the better route.
Covering past dates is the doctor's decision, not the applicant's. Enter the real dates you were unwell and explain why you are applying now. The doctor weighs whether the details support those dates and may issue a certificate for them or decline. Ask your airline whether it accepts a certificate dated after the event.
Your form details are used so the reviewing doctor can assess your request, and an approved certificate goes to the email address you provide. Card payments are processed by Stripe. For questions about how your personal data is stored or handled, email care@drcertificate.com before you apply.
Email care@drcertificate.com for help with a request, a payment or a technical problem. DrCertificate is operated by Health Venture OU from KMC Armstrong Corporate Center in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Report any technical fault within 24 hours so the team can verify it.
Yes, if your situation is not an emergency. Apply as soon as you know you cannot fly, choose the Unfit to Travel option and give your flight date. The doctor decides whether to issue a certificate, and your airline decides how it treats the certificate when you ask to change your booking.
No. DrCertificate certificates must not be used for insurance claims, legal purposes or submission in India. The unfit to fly certificate is meant for practical travel matters, mostly showing your airline that a doctor found you too unwell to fly on given dates. Ask your insurer what evidence it needs.
No, a certificate cannot be corrected once issued unless the mistake came from the medical team. Check your name, ID details and dates on the form before you submit. If the error is on the medical side, contact care@drcertificate.com so the team can look into it.
Start the online form and choose Unfit to Travel. An independent doctor decides whether to issue your certificate, and fees are non refundable, so check your airline's requirements first. Questions go to care@drcertificate.com.
