Yes. Anyone in Singapore aged 16 or over can request a medical fitness certificate or other medical certificate online through DrCertificate. You complete an online form, pay SGD 25 through Stripe, and an independent certified doctor reviews the request by chat. If approved, the certificate arrives as a PDF by email. The service suits non emergency situations only.
Workers, students and travellers are the three groups in Singapore who commonly need a medical certificate. Each group needs a note for a different reason, from a missed shift to a flight that has to move.
Singapore is hot and humid all year, and the two monsoon seasons bring heavy rain. Coughs, colds and stomach upsets pick up in those months.
A worker who wakes up unwell may need a note for the office before lunch.
Students at the universities and polytechnics deal with a different kind of paperwork. A missed exam, a sports trial or an internship that asks for proof of good health can all end in a request for a certificate. Visitors passing through Changi Airport sometimes fall ill just before a flight.
Others are asked by an airline to confirm they are fit to travel. Residents starting a new job are often asked for a fitness letter before day one.
An online request fits these moments because it starts from a phone, wherever you are. Whether the note is accepted is up to the employer, school or airline, so check with them first.
Four options on the form cover every certificate offered
The right certificate depends on what the person asking for it wants to see. DrCertificate certificates sit under four options on the application form: Sick Leave, Unfit to Travel, Work From Home and Medical Fitness Certificate.
Pick the card that matches your situation, then choose its form option when you apply.
For employee or student fitness checks and good health letters. Choose Medical Fitness Certificate on the form.
For gyms, races, clubs or school sports that want proof you are fit to take part. Uses the Medical Fitness Certificate option.
For airlines that ask you to confirm you are well enough to travel. Uses the Medical Fitness Certificate option.
For starting a new role or returning to work. Uses the Medical Fitness Certificate option.
For time off work or university when you are unwell. Choose Sick Leave on the form.
For a general note about your health. Uses the Sick Leave option.
For days when you can work but should stay home. Choose Work From Home on the form.
For changing or cancelling travel because you are unwell. Choose Unfit to Travel on the form.
You get an online fitness certificate in Singapore by filling in the DrCertificate form, paying through Stripe and waiting for a doctor's decision. The whole request happens in writing, through a digital chat.
There are no video calls and no clinic visits.

Open the online form, choose the certificate option that matches your need and enter your details, dates and reason.
Pay the SGD 25 fee at the Stripe checkout.
An independent certified doctor reads your request and may send follow-up questions in the chat. Reply as soon as you can.
If the doctor approves the request, the certificate arrives as a PDF at your email address. If the doctor declines, no certificate is issued.
Anda akan diteruskan ke borang permohonan DrCertificate yang selamat.
Before you apply, have your full name as shown on your ID, a working email address, the reason for the certificate and the dates it needs to cover. Those four details let the doctor read your request without stopping to ask.
Check whether your employer, school or airline gave you a form or asked for set wording. Note your symptoms, when they started and any records you already hold, like a recent clinic note.
A name that does not match the ID is one reason doctors decline.
The doctor reads everything you submitted and decides whether a certificate is medically appropriate. Paying the fee buys the review, not a guaranteed certificate. The decision belongs to the doctor alone.
The doctor checks that your details hold together. Do your name and ID match? Do the symptoms you describe fit the dates and the certificate you chose? Can the request be judged from a written consultation, or does it need a physical exam?
If anything is unclear, the doctor may ask follow-up questions in the chat.
DrCertificate is a platform that connects you with independent doctors. DrCertificate does not diagnose, treat or prescribe. A certificate is issued only when the doctor finds it appropriate for your situation.
If the doctor cannot issue your certificate, the fee is not refunded and the best next step is to see a doctor in person at a local clinic or polyclinic. Doctors decline about 2% of requests when details are wrong, like a name that does not match the ID, or when the symptoms and details shared do not line up.
Payments are non refundable. The one exception is a verified technical fault reported within 24 hours.
For questions about a declined request, email care@drcertificate.com.

A DrCertificate request from Singapore takes about 30 minutes from submission to decision when the details are in order. Missing details, a name that does not match the ID or follow-up questions in the chat can add time.
Fitness cases are reviewed during set hours in Indian Standard Time. In Singapore time, that means 11.30 am to 11.30 pm Monday to Saturday and 12.30 pm to 10.30 pm on Sunday.
Submit inside those hours for the quickest reply.
Acceptance in Singapore is decided by the employer, school, airline or sports body receiving the certificate, so ask them before you apply. DrCertificate cannot promise that any organisation will take an online certificate.
For sick leave, the Ministry of Manpower publishes the rules on paid sick leave and medical certificates for employees. Read them alongside your employer's own policy. Airlines set their own rules for fit to fly and unfit to fly letters.
Singapore rules name a Singapore registered doctor for a handful of checks. The Ministry of Manpower requires an employer to send a migrant domestic worker for a medical examination by a Singapore registered doctor within 2 weeks of her arrival. The results of her medical examination every six months must be certified by a Singapore registered doctor too.
The Singapore Police Force says licence holders aged 65 and above need to be certified medically fit for the road by a Singapore registered medical practitioner.
Book those checks at a local clinic, not online.
An online certificate is not right for emergencies, legal matters, insurance or anyone under 16. In an emergency in Singapore, call 995 for an ambulance or go straight to the nearest hospital emergency department.
DrCertificate certificates are not for legal purposes, cannot be used for insurance and are not for submission in India. Applicants must be 16 or older.
See a doctor in person if your symptoms are severe, getting worse or need an examination, a test or treatment. A clinic or hospital in Singapore can examine you properly. The same goes for any check that Singapore rules say a Singapore registered doctor must do.
DrCertificate tells you plainly what it offers and what it does not, before you pay. The reasons below come from how the service works.
Sports fitness, fit to fly and fit to work certificates use the Medical Fitness Certificate option. A general medical certificate uses the Sick Leave option.
In most South East Asian countries, sick leave and work from home notes go up to 7 days for generic symptoms. Fitness notes are generally valid for 30 days.
Doctors decline about 2% of requests, when details are wrong or the symptoms and details shared are inconsistent.
All doctors on the platform are registered with a medical council. DrCertificate encourages you to confirm that your employer, school or airline accepts online notes before you apply.
No. DrCertificate requests from Singapore are handled in writing through an online form and a digital chat with an independent doctor. There are no video calls and no in person visits. If your situation needs a physical examination, the doctor may decline, and a local clinic is the better place to go.
A certificate covers past dates only if the doctor decides that is appropriate. Enter the dates you need on the form and explain why. The doctor weighs your details before deciding. DrCertificate cannot promise backdating, and a certificate cannot be corrected once issued unless the medical team made the error.
Your form details are shared with the independent doctor reviewing your request, who uses them to decide. Payments go through Stripe. For questions about how DrCertificate stores or uses your information, email care@drcertificate.com before applying. Give accurate details, because a name and ID mismatch leads to a declined request.
Email care@drcertificate.com for help with a request, a payment or a missing PDF. Include the name and email address you used on the form so the team can find your request. DrCertificate is operated by Health Venture OU, with a contact address in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Yes, you can request one online before flying from Changi Airport by choosing the Medical Fitness Certificate option. A doctor reviews your request and decides whether to issue it. Airlines set their own rules, so check the wording and timing your airline wants, and allow about 30 minutes for review.
No, an online certificate is not the route for that check. The Ministry of Manpower requires a migrant domestic worker's medical examination to be done by a Singapore registered doctor within 2 weeks of arrival, with later screenings certified by one. Book these examinations at a local clinic.
Start the online form, choose your certificate and pay SGD 25 through Stripe. An independent doctor decides whether to issue it, and fees are non refundable. Questions first? Email care@drcertificate.com.
