Online Fitness Certificate in Vietnam

Need an online fitness certificate in Vietnam? DrCertificate lets people anywhere in Vietnam request a doctor reviewed medical certificate from a phone or laptop.

An independent certified doctor reads each request after a digital chat consultation. The doctor alone decides whether to issue the certificate, so payment starts a review and never guarantees one.

Fitness, sick leave, work from home and unfit to travel requests all start on the same online form.

Who needs a medical certificate in Vietnam?

Office workers, university students and travellers are the groups in Vietnam who ask for medical certificates most often.

Workers in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Da Nang need a note when a fever keeps them home, or proof of fitness when they start a new role. Students in both big cities get asked for fitness notes before sports events and internships. Dengue and flu cases rise during the rainy season, which in the south runs from roughly May to October.

Those months bring a steady flow of short absences that need paperwork. A missed shift or a skipped exam usually means a note is wanted within a day or two.

Travellers form the third group.

Someone flying out of Tan Son Nhat in Ho Chi Minh City or Noi Bai in Hanoi may fall ill before a flight, or need a fitness note for a trip. An online request lets each of these people start from home, without queueing at a clinic for a short note. Whether a school, employer or airline takes an online note is their call, so check with them first.

Which medical certificate do you need in Vietnam?

Four options on the form cover every certificate DrCertificate offers

The right certificate depends on who asked for it and why. The DrCertificate form shows four options: Medical Fitness Certificate, Sick Leave, Work From Home and Unfit to Travel.

Medical fitness, fit to work and fit to fly

For employee or student fitness notes, good health certificates, an employer asking if you are fit for duty, or a trip that needs a fit to travel note. Choose Medical Fitness Certificate on the form.

Sports fitness certificate

For a club, gym, race or school sports event that wants proof you can take part. Sports fitness requests also use the Medical Fitness Certificate option.

Work from home certificate

For days when you can still work but should stay home. Choose Work From Home on the form.

What should you have ready before you apply?

Have your personal details, the reason and dates, and any requested wording ready before you open the form. Accurate details are the simplest way to avoid follow-up questions and delays.

  • Personal details and email

Your full name as shown on your ID, your date of birth and an email address you check.

  • Reason and dates

Why you need the certificate and the dates it must cover.

  • Requested form or wording

Any form or wording your employer, school or airline asked for.

  • Symptoms and records

Current symptoms, medicines you take and any existing medical records linked to the request.

What happens when the doctor reviews your request?

The doctor reads your form, checks that your details hold together, and decides whether a certificate is medically appropriate. Payment does not change that decision.

During review the doctor looks at your stated reason, your symptoms or health history, the dates you asked for and whether your name and ID match. If something is unclear, the doctor asks follow-up questions in the chat. Quick, honest answers keep your request moving.

DrCertificate is a platform, not a clinic. The platform does not diagnose, treat or prescribe.

A certificate is issued only when the doctor finds it appropriate.

What if the doctor cannot issue your certificate?

If the doctor declines, you receive no certificate and the payment is not refunded. Doctors decline about 2% of requests, usually because the name and ID do not match or the symptoms and details shared are inconsistent.

Payments are non refundable. The one exception is a verified technical fault reported within 24 hours.

After a declined request, see a doctor in person at a local clinic or hospital. For questions about your request, write to care@drcertificate.com.

How quickly can you get a medical certificate in Vietnam?

A typical request takes about 30 minutes. Missing details, a name that does not match your ID, or follow-up questions in the chat add time.

Doctors handle fitness cases on India time, which runs 90 minutes behind Vietnam. The table shows both.

Will your employer, school or airline in Vietnam accept it?

The organisation receiving the certificate decides whether to accept it, so ask your employer, school, airline or sports body before you apply. DrCertificate cannot promise acceptance.

Vietnam has official rules worth knowing. Ministry of Health Circular 32/2023/TT-BYT covers health examinations for study and work and says they take place at health facilities licensed under the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment. Article 38 says a health certificate under the circular is valid for 12 months from the date the health result is signed.

If your employer or school wants that formal health certificate, book the exam at a licensed facility instead.

Foreign issued health certificates face strict limits. Under Article 31, a certificate issued abroad counts only where Vietnam has a mutual recognition treaty or agreement with the issuing country, the certificate is no more than 6 months old, and it carries a certified Vietnamese translation.

Airlines set their own fit to fly and unfit to fly rules, and each carrier differs.

When is an online certificate not right for you in Vietnam?

An online certificate is not right for emergencies, legal matters, insurance claims or anyone under 16. For a medical emergency in Vietnam, call 115 for an ambulance or go to the nearest hospital.

DrCertificate certificates are not for legal purposes, must not be used for insurance, and are not for submission in India. Applicants must be at least 16.

See a doctor in person at a local clinic or hospital if your symptoms are severe or getting worse, if you need a physical examination or tests, or if your employer or school wants the formal health certificate under Circular 32.

Who issues your medical certificate?

  • Certified doctors

Each request goes to a doctor with an MBBS, MD or MS qualification. All doctors on the platform are registered medical council doctors.

  • The doctor decides

DrCertificate is a platform. The doctor alone decides whether to issue a certificate, and doctors decline about 2% of requests, usually when details do not match or symptoms are inconsistent.

  • Medical reviewer

Why use DrCertificate in Vietnam?

DrCertificate is built around doctor judgement and honest limits.

Every doctor on the platform is registered with a medical council and holds an MBBS, MD or MS. A doctor reads each request, and about 2% are declined when details are wrong or inconsistent. Requests get a real review, not a rubber stamp.

The options are plain. Sports fitness, fit to fly and fit to work certificates all use the Medical Fitness Certificate option, and a general medical certificate uses the Sick Leave option.

Validity is stated openly. In most South East Asian countries, sick leave and work from home notes go up to 7 days for generic symptoms, and fitness notes are generally valid for 30 days.

DrCertificate also asks you to check that the place you submit to accepts online medical notes before you choose the service. Health Venture OU operates the platform, with an address at KMC Armstrong Corporate Center, Salcedo Village, Makati City, Philippines.
